Wellingtonians eat a lot of vegetables and fruits. These are but a few vege and fruit crates in front of a vege & fruit shop on Cuba Street during the daily morning exchange for fresh ware.

Is this a new breed of capsicum? One vege seller had an entire box full of "mother and child" bell peppers yesterday. Today I separated these two for a salad.

There are several vege markets around Wellington on Sunday where you can stock up for the entire week. The one on Vivian and Victoria is big and very crammed on a spot that is a parking lot during the week.

Before buying anything, you better have a walk across the entire market to get a good overview of what is available.

Some things seem to be spread all over the world. One of these items is this plastic garden chair. It comes in all sorts of colors and sometimes the back rest varies, but there is an essential design that does not change, no matter whether you are in Europe, the USA, India, or now also New Zealand.

With spring having arrived, the garden furniture is on display in stores, and it was easy to spot this specimen of globalization.

Hell Pizza is the choice of pizza for our monthly Pizza Thursday. And not just because it is 666% Kiwi-owned.

Listening to short presentations on various topics like projects, conference participation, new tools, awesome expeditions etc. is better with a stomach full of pizza as happy faces all around the room can attest.

These bright veggie-fruit cars have been showing up in Wellington’s streets recently. Maybe they have already been around for a while, but I just had not seen them.

24Carrot is a supplier of produce in Wellington.

And it already happened twice that I read "24 Carat". I wonder if that is intentional.
