2009 is drawing to an end and thus also the 2009 winter retail season in the Grand Region. Everything is prepared for the big winter sales that will start on January 2, 2010.

This dummy is not yet as desperately dressed as a fellow some months ago.

This view beats the old one (ground floor, busy street, building across the street) easily. Starting from January 1, 2010, I will have an apartment on the 5th floor with virtually nobody across the street.

That’s the jewelry tree I made at Xmas for myself with accessories. Now that I’m back in Luxembourg where I keep my necklaces, I could test the design.

The holly plant is a sight for sore eyes as it sports very rich green leaves and bright red fruits. Perfect for dull winter weather.

The drive back to Luxembourg brought with it the same weather conditions just in reverse: brilliant blue sky and the farther west I got the worse the weather became until I reached Luxembourg where the streets were slippery and snow rain hit the ground.

My Xmas gift for myself: A self-made jewelry tree (by me) for my necklaces. There should still be a lot of space left for future purchases.

The crocheted Christmas decoration of hearts and bells made by my granny always looks nice – either on a Christmas tree or also in a lop bunch.

This Christmas pyramid is a huge one of the town of Glauchau. The scenes depict buildings and life in this little town at the foot of the Erzgebirge in Saxony where such pyramids are traditional.

Everything is covered in snow.

After driving over half of my 590 km in constant rain (not too bad though, worst were the trucks that whirled all the water around their tires), the sky finally clears up around Eisenach.
