New Zealand yam – 2010-09-11
This little vegetable here is a New Zealand yam, also called oca. Technically, it is not a yam, but that’s what it’s called anyway.
You can boil them and they turn very soft and reveal their acidity. If you eat them raw, they are sweeter.
