“Wichtel” gift – solution
At our belated Xmas party which had turned into a Welcome-the-New-Year" party, everybody brought along a "Wichtel" gift. That is a German tradition when you have a Xmas party among friends or colleagues. Everybody brings a small gift (in our case no more than 5€), wraps it and puts it into a big back / sack. Then each person comes up after one another and draws a gift without looking into the bag.
